Good Morning Sisters,
Thank you Stacy for the powerful teaching last night on the Lion of Judah! It was SO rich! Hebrews 12:26-27 says “At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.”
The Lord is now making Himself known to us as the LION. We’ve known Him as the lamb that was slain for our sins, but we have yet to know Him as the lion.
Why a lion? The lion is regarded as the king of beasts. Lions are powerful, majestic and have a mighty roar. Applied to Judah, this is significant because it heralds the lineage of Judah as that of kings. For out of Judah’s line, King David and his descendants would rule over Israel until the time of Babylonian captivity, and generations later, Jesus Christ would come as a descendant of David and Judah to forge a new covenant and usher in a new kingdom of heavenly glory (Matthew 1:1-17). Through the lion we discover the POWER of Christ as an eternal king, and in the Lamb we find the grace of Jesus as an eternal savior.
Matthew 16:19 says “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
The Lord has given us the authority to govern this earth. He has given us the keys to the kingdom. We take our authority by SPEAKING His Word, making those decrees and declarations. The way we release what is in Heaven is through SPEAKING!
NOW is the time to know Jesus as the LION. As this revelation goes from our head to our heart we will open our mouths to ROAR! We will not allow the enemy to walk all over us! He is under our feet! When a lion roars in the jungle all of the other animals KNOW HE is the KING! They bow. They know the thunder of his roar.
Below is a beautiful song Stacy had us listen to called “The Lion and the Lamb” by Bethel.
