14 Days of Prayer Part 2: Day 13

Good Morning Sisters,

Praising Jesus!!! The church has awakened! God’s people are on fire for Him! We see the fire of the Holy Spirit spreading across our towns, our communities, our nation and our world. 

People are tuning into online church in record numbers! God’s trumpet is sounding! He is calling His people to the altar. Revivals are happening all across our nation!

We are having our own revival right here! We’ve been praying together for 26 days. Those revivals are leading to a world wide awakening and a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit; an outpouring that is unprecedented in our age. We’ve been meeting in my living room on Wednesday nights for almost a decade, but have never come together like this. We are averaging 18-24 women per night. When I was a young girl I went to many tent revivals with my grandparents, revivals that would last a week or more. We would attend every night and the outpouring of God’s spirit was powerful. People were hungry for God’s Word. I saw many people come to the Lord during those times. John 4:24 says “The Church will transition into a deep place of worshiping the Lord in spirit and in truth.” I believe the revivals of today and tomorrow will trump the revivals of our past. He promises that before the return of our King He will pour out His spirit on ALL people. (Joel 2:28)

Daniel 2:22 says “He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.” During this time of quarantine the Lord wants to reveal divine strategies and plans for our future. He wants to search our hearts and bring light to areas of darkness. I believe 2020 is the year many people are finally going to SEE the thing they’ve been waiting for. The thing they’ve been hoping for and didn’t give up on they are going to SEE this year. 20 symbolizes expectancy, redemption expectancy realized, expectancy achieved and expectancy fulfilled. And this is the year of 2020...two 20’s! In Zechariah 9:12 God says “Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you.” The Lord calls us “prisoners of hope.” He is telling us not to give up during times of trial, but to stand on His word and we will DOUBLE! What a loving and generous Father we serve! 

He led me to teach on the power of the Holy Spirit last night. My notes are below.

There are 3 Phases that the Holy Spirit moves in:

Revival 

Awakening

Outpouring 

Revival

We see all of these in both the old and new testaments. 

They often run together but when broken down from a biblical perspective they are all significant in their own area. I went to revivals growing up. They lasted  from a week to several weeks.

Psalm 85:6

“Will you not revive us again,

    that your people may rejoice in you?”

Revival...reviving the inner spirit of those who are spiritually sleeping. Stirs the spirit up that causes people to be excited by the things of God. People are too busy to have revivals today.

It’s almost impossible to have the revivals we used to have. Revivals are important because spirits get dry and hearts grow cold. People lose their zeal for God. It revives you and puts the fire back in us so we can go back out and witness. It keeps the Saints challenged and keeps them on fire for God.

Awakening 

There have been 4 awakenings in the US.

Jonathan Edwards had the Great Awakening.A revival affects a local region, a town or community. An awakening affects an entire area... an entire state, West Coast, etc. 

America is due for a spiritual awakening. Awakenings happen when people get into very heavy apostasy. That’s when God raises up a person such as DL Moody and Jonathan Edwards. People are spiritually dead on the inside and they have to be spiritually awakened. People become awakened because they see the power of God in operation. Miracles always follow revivals (Acts 8) but miracles of salvation, unity and love always follow an awakening. After the Civil War there was an awakening. 

These awakenings will occur when preachers go back to preaching in the power & authority of the Holy Spirit. To have an awakening you have to confront the social issues, the unjust imbalances you see in the nation. There is unjust balance in our nation... in gov’t and in politics. We need preachers that preach with such power & authority that people run to the altar... it causes people to turn. 

Awakenings come from people being hungry, knowing there is something better than this.

When the human spirit is alerted to the light of God. 

(Azusa street revival was really an awakening)

Outpouring 

Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

Predicted in the Bible will happen.

Joel 2:28-29 And afterward,

 I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy,

 your old men will dream dreams,

 your young men will see visions.

Even on my servants, both men and women,

I will pour out my Spirit in those days.

Visions & Dreams Younger men will have visions. Older men will see dreams. Older men tend to look at what was and younger men tend to look at what will be. This is supernatural knowledge from God revealing things that will happen in the very near future. 

Physical deliverance follows the Outpouring! God has positioned us in praise to receive. God is going to pour out His spirit out onto all flesh. When the outpouring happens there will be manifestations of cosmic signs in the sun, moon & stars. 

Matthew 24:14

People will be speaking in the spirit.

This must happen as recorded in Joel 2:28-29  & Acts 1:1-4;17

The Holy Spirit is going to revive the hearts of people. 

I believe the Lord has broken out a revival with our prayer calls. He is now using us to stir the hearts of people through preaching and teaching to an awakening.

The last sign that Jesus will come (& He’s coming soon) will be the global outpouring of the Spirit. And it’s already begun. We’re already seeing it take place.
