What an AWESOME prayer call last night! It was filled with so much laughter and JOY! John 4:24 says "the church will transition into a deep place of worshiping the Lord in spirit and in truth." A fruit of that worship is JOY!!!
The spiritual atmosphere was fresh, crisp and light. It’s really hard to articulate in words. I felt so carefree, such great peace when the call ended. At one point I looked at my screen and every single woman had a huge smile on her face. THAT IS THE LORD!!! The JOY of the Lord is our strength!
Leah’s message was very uplifting and timely for many of us. She talked about what a blessing this time is and how we should use it to focus on the Lord and enjoy being in the moment.
Rather than binge watching TV shows or surfing the internet and social media we should dig into God’s Word as it is our spiritual nourishment. It fills us up and replaces the worry with peace. It also provides the wisdom and discernment we will need as we enter into this new era.
We talked a lot about worry and how to battle it. I love the things Nicollette shared about the birds at the beach. It gave fresh new revelation about what it means to REST in the Lord. As she sat on the beach for two days seeking the Lord and watching the birds the Lord led her to read Matthew 6:26 "Look at the birds of the air; they do not SOW or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. The word SOW jumped out at her. The birds don't SOW! So why do we think we have to? They are completely dependent on the Lord.
It’s great to hear from women who have traveled similar roads as they share truth, hope, wisdom and encouragement. It feels so good to talk to women who are like minded, women who want to go deeper and are hungry for more. The Lord wants us doing life together as we can grow and learn so much from one another. I know each night I glean something new.
I also loved what Ashley shared tonight about knowing our position in Christ. That is KEY. We must remind ourselves that we are seated at the right hand of Christ and that all of the things the enemy is trying to get into fear and worry about is UNDER OUR FEET. We don’t have to worry when we have a Kingdom mindset. We don’t have to worry when the supernatural is our natural.
Proverbs 17:22 says laughter does good like a medicine. I believe when you can laugh in the midst of your trials it relieves so much stress. It also demonstrates your reliance and faith on the Lord. We need to LAUGH MORE! The Lord wants us to laugh! I believe He was laughing with us last night. Think about it...when your kids laugh you laugh. When your kids are full of joy you are full of joy!
So take time today to LAUGH! PRAISE the LORD as IT IS FINISHED! The cross symbolizes HIS PROMISES to us! Be in the moment! Take a walk with your child! Jump some rope! Play a game! LAUGH with your whole heart as your future is bright! The BEST is yet to come!!!
